Emil-and-Hugo.jpeg

Emil & Hugo Rasch were the visionary founding fathers of this family company and the creative minds behind wallcovering production at the Bramsche site.
In 1897 the brothers, sons of the wallcovering hand printer Hermann Rasch, founded what would become one of the most famous and successful wallcovering factories in industrial history.

BLOOMBURY

“Those who deprive us of our dreams deprive us of our lives.” Virginia Woolf (Member of the Bloomsbury Group)

At the beginning of the twentieth century, many artists, intellectuals and scientists lived and worked in the London district of BLOOMSBURY. On our journey around the world in search of new impulses for our Emil & Hugo collections, we love to stop here and to get to work with fresh design ideas.

At the time, artists and writers who felt connected to one another in their art and creativity, but also in their attitude to life, found each other in the Bloomsbury Group. Creativity, innovation, enthusiasm and aesthetics: all these attributes influenced the work of the “Bloomsberries”, as they often called themselves. These characteristics can also be found in our designs – whether non-woven wallpaper or murals.

As far as the eye can see, the FINN design reveals a fascinating mountain landscape. HORIZON and DUNCAN impress with their graphic design, each in their own unique style. A virtuoso display of foliage is presented in HENRY and THE BIG HENRY. Textile craftsmanship is artfully staged in LOOM and TEXTILE ART. And with CANVAS, you can find the right single colour in an extensive range of colours for every wall decoration.

The BLOOMSBURY collection comprises 33 non-woven wallpapers and 10 digital prints. The different colours are all presented in a stylish matte finish and the selection ranges from off-white, beige, yellow, terra, aqua and sage green to dark green, stonewashed denim, dark blue, grey and taupe.
